PAST MEETINGS / LECTURES

Pincus Taft Memorial Lectures

Pincus TaftPincus was a founder of clinical endocrinology in Melbourne and in
Australia. As the obituary states he was the inspiration and role model for many younger colleagues to take up endocrinology. He had a rare ability to accord respect to all his colleagues from interns and JRMOs through to contemporaries while still being able to instruct or guide them according to an uncompromisingly high standard and he was never afraid to openly acknowledge someone else's ideas if he thought they were better than his [although not a common occurrence].
